着想 — すれ違う傘が、くらげに見えた
雨の日、マークシティの渡り廊下からスクランブル交差点を見下ろしていた。いろんな方向へ行き交うビニール傘。すれ違うときに上げたり傾けたりする動きが、雫も相まって、くらげがふわふわ浮いているように見えた。
体験 — 見えたものを、映像で見せる
撮影した映像を言葉で説明するだけでは、この感覚は伝わらない気がした。そこで、生成AIを使い、交差点をくらげの群れに変換した映像をつくっている。ここに掲載しているのは、2026年7月にRunwayでつくった約12秒の試作。
Starting point — umbrellas becoming jellyfish
Looking down from the Mark City walkway on a rainy day, I watched vinyl umbrellas cross in every direction. The raindrops and the way people lifted or tilted umbrellas as they passed looked like drifting jellyfish.
Experience — showing how it looked to me
Filming the scene and explaining it in words did not seem enough to carry that sensation. I use generative AI to turn the crossing into a swarm of jellyfish. The clip here is an approximately 12-second study made with Runway in July 2026.
制作 — 同じ場面を繰り返しつくる
視点、人の密度、傘とくらげの見え方を変えながら試している。モデルが進化するたびに同じテーマへ戻り、つくり直す。掲載している映像も、その途中のひとつ。
いま探っていること
くらげの姿を重ねるだけでなく、傘を上げたり傾けたりしながら、いろいろな方向にすれ違う動きをどう残すか。最初に目にした感覚へ、映像を通じて近づこうとしている。
Making — returning to the same scene
I vary the viewpoint, crowd density and the relationship between umbrellas and jellyfish. As models develop, I return to the theme and remake it. The published clip is one study along the way.
What I am exploring now
Beyond adding the appearance of jellyfish, how can I retain the movement of umbrellas lifting, tilting and passing in different directions? I am working toward the sensation that first caught my attention.
